RoboClip v0.1 (Beta)

Instructions

  1. Start RoboClip and you will see this icon appear in your system tray.

  2. The default setting for RoboClip is to make 2 concectutive copies. This can be changed however by right-clicking the icon in the system tray and choosing one of these presets:

    The setting you select will last until you quit the program.

    If you would like to change the default number of copies open the settings.ini file in the RoboClip folder and chage the number after "CopyCount":

    *Note: This has not been extensively tested so do so at your own risk.

  3. When you're ready to copy something press Ctrl+Shift+C to put RoboClip into "Copy Mode". The icon in the system tray will change to green to let you know it's active:

    Important: RoboClip mainly works by detecting keystrokes so when copying and pasting use the standard keyboard shortcuts when doing so (Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste).

  4. When you have reached the specified number of copies, a yellow dot will appear on the icon letting you know you have items waiting to paste. RoboClip will not paste these items however until you've have put it into "Paste Mode".

  5. To put RoboClip into Paste Mode press Ctrl+Shift+V and the icon will change to yellow. (remember to use Ctrl+V to paste the items once this is activated):

  6. Once you have finished pasting your items the icon will return to it's standard red color telling you it is ready to be put into Copy Mode again.
  7. RoboClip is idle.

*Note: If you experience issues using RoboClip, for example the keyboard shortcuts it uses conflict with other programs, you can pause the program by right-clicking on the system tray icon. When RoboClip is paused that icon will turn black.

To resume using RoboClip again simply right-click Pause again and the icon will turn red.

If you need to cancel an operation in the middle of Copy or Paste mode, press Ctrl+Shift+R to restart the program.

Since RoboClip is experimental there is no technical support available however suggestions and comments are welcome.
